The BetaPrion® Scrapie EIA test kit is a post mortem assay that detects both typical and atypical SCRAPIE in samples from sheep and goat. The kit uses Proteinase K and is based on sandwich ELISA with two monoclonal antibodies. Recently, this kit is in process of validation by the EFSA for approval according to Regulation (EC) No 999/2001.
